Google Docs: Your Offline Office

In the next few years, Google Docs user will be able to access their documents offline. As of now, only Word Processor is accessible offline while Spreadsheet and Presentation documents are expected to become same.

The new Google Docs are based on GearLibrary (Google's tool that allows web developers to synchronize online data with the local hard drive). However, Google's competiter Microsoft, also offers web-based Office Live Workspace.

All the online application providers must ensure the security and liability issues that help in access the documents from any computer around the globe.

Google Docs' fans will surely appreciate this new change.

Please let me know how comfortable are you with shifting your documents from desktop to the Internet?
