Acer bets big on Linux

Acer claimed that it will be publishing Linux heavily on its laptops and netbooks. It has already been selling out Linux in its Media PC Business.

"We have shifted towards Linux because of Microsoft," Gianpiero Morbello, vice president of marketing and brand at Acer said. "Microsoft has a lot of power and it is going to be difficult, but we will be working hard to develop the Linux market."
