Internet Explorer Beta 1 Features Revealed

Microsoft has revealed some expected end-user features of Internet Explorer Beta 1.

Following additions are made to IE:

• Activities: Contextual services to quickly lookup/send information to some web application, such as retrieving an address map, sharing some page etcetera.
• WebSlices: It behaves just like feeds where client can easily get updates. Internet explorer can discover WebSlices within a webpage and add them to the Favorites bar and a particular space can be dedicated below the address bar to access them.
• Favorites Bar: The contents of the favorites bar is now visible at the top pane and users can easily access their favorites web content.
• Automatic Crash Recovery: This feature recover yourtabs if the browser crashes or
  hangs.
• Improved Phishing Filter: The quick new filter known was "Safety Filter"
  continues to block known Phishing sites and this new improved filter blocks sites
  known to contain malicious software and steal their info.

Microsoft to Release IE 8 Beta 1

Microsoft plans to release the first beta of the next version of Internet Explorer in the first half of 2008.

"We have identified you as a qualified beta tester and we would like to offer an opportunity to join our limited technical beta program for Windows Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1." said Internet Explorer Team.

If youre enrolled in this program of Technical Beta, you will be able to evaluate a common release of IE 8 and submit the feedback, bug reports etc.
